Whazuup fellow rollers...just a few words about me. I'm  30+ years of age. I was born and raised in "The Big Easy" New Orleans, Louisiana 9th Ward (Ram Land) G.W.C.  I have been getting my roll on for as long as I can remember. Let's put it like this ...My first pair of skates were metal union brand, that I had to wear on the outside of my shoes.Ya'll know what I'm talkin bout, metal on cement ouch!   I grew up skating at Skate Country N.O. East. We skated on Sun., Tue., & Thur. My skating style is very versatile; I can handle my own in the center rink, the outside edge, and everywhere in between.  I left the Big Easy and arrived in Cali (via millitary) in 1985, but didn't start back rollin until '88 or '89. I met some wonderful people at Cal Skate Milpitas, and joined Somebody's Skate Club (don't ask). I'm also one of the founders and a proud board member of ATWT.  I've been happily married to my high school Lover Karen Ann Batiste since 1985.  We have three beautiful B.A.K's.  I'm also the co-owner of Dancefloor Music Productions Mobile DJ Sevices and have been since 1988. (Bounce Rooooock Skate, Roooooll Bounce) I love to get my roll on, and neeeever go anywhere whitout my wheels.  I will roll when-ever and where-ever I can. Whether it be In the rink, garage, kitchen etc. I must admit...I'm addicted to the roll.
Hobbies: Skating DUHH!, Dj'ing, Football (Saints), Basketball (Lakers), Swimming, Dancing, and Traveling, hopefully I will roll in your city someday. Until then...See You On The Hardwood.

Wassssup Ya'll!!! Well, let's see, first you must understand I am not much of a talker, so I don't know about this talkin' bout myself thang, Yeah right!! Where do I start, well I was born in Canada, but I have been living here (in the Yay Area) since 1988. I LOVE it!!!  Let's see I have been rollin' since about 1996, you do the math, and have been a VERY PROUD Member of As The Wheels Turn since early 1997.  I am a former Board Member (since 2002) of this wonderful Family/club. As far as my skating, I guess you can say that I have a unique style.  It took a few years to put it together, but I can truely say that no matter where you put me on the floor, I can hold my own (around the outside, in the middle, in the snack bar, anywhere)!!!!!! Anywayz, my Hobbies: Skating (OF COURSE), Dj'ing (co-owner of Dancefloor Music Prod.Mobile DJ Services, I Love Baseball, Writing Poetry, Traveling, Camping, Go Lakers, 49ers and Oakland Athletics. Oh, I also want to buy a Harley Davidson!! I don't know when, but probably after I learn to ride a Motorcycle! Anyways, this club is DEFINITELY part of My Family, you all know it, so I won't go into details, but just remember that Family is a strong word to be throwin' around, and you all deserve to be called my Family......LOVE you all, seee ya'll @ the rink, and to all others that read this please come join us anytime at

I was born and raised in New Orleans, La. I've been sk8ing for about 20+ yrs. I learned to skate by holding on the back of the public bus as it drove down the streets of the Desire Projects (9th ward baby). My skates were so old, that I had to hold them to my shoes with  peices of rubber inner tube. While sparks came from my wheels, and my wheels have been smokin' ever since. Ya'll don't know nothing bout the  back of the bus....I then graduated to rollin in Carver Rams school gym, two times a week. After that, I was ready to move up and roll with the big tymers at "Skate Country" NoLa East. I then moved to Cali with my wonderful skates, oh oh oh almost forgot .....my husband came also. I currently get my roll on at Cal Skate Milpitas. I'm also one of the Founders and a Proud Board Member of this wonderful Family, As The Wheels Turn. I'm happily married to the best skater living, Rich1sk8. we have 3 beautiful, well-behaved children. (Don't Hate)
Hobbies: I LOVE to Skate, play baseball, hang out with my Family, Skate, swim, football (Saints), watch the Lakers LLLL-AAAA!!! Beat the "Kings," Skate, travel, Skate some more, and that's all. Oh Yeah, I Love to skate. So lets take it to the Hardwood...

Wuzz up my peoples!..."Who Dat You Rollin Wit"? My age is...Well age ain't nothin' but a number."Youu Knooow"
I was born in Los Angeles, Ca. I was taught to skate by my beloved father at the tender age of five, and when I fell, he had no sympathy (Thanks Pop!)  By the age of nine, we moved to Northern Cali and I started rollin on a lovely Maple Wood floor at Cal Skate Milpitas. When I became a teenager, we moved to Dallas, Tx. where I attended high school. While in Texas, I hooked up with a skate club by the name of "Hollywood Skaters"WOW! Cali skaters in Texas, who would've thought.  A few years after graduating from High school, I moved back to Northern Cali and reunited with that beautiful hardwood floor at Cal Skate. I later hooked up with three marvelous people, Rich, Karen, and Kevin. We all united as a family. We've done everything together. Well almost everything. As a result of being so close, we became the founders of "As The Wheels Turn Skate Club". I am also one of six board members, and proud to be part of this wonderful organization.
Hobbies: 4Sho Skating,"no doubt", Big Boo & Boo Jr., Cooking, "I can Tho down", Playing cards (spades), Dancing, and Entertaining.

Erika Robinson a.k.a. E
Born and mostly raised in "Chocolate City," also known as Washington, D.C.  I can remember having some of the best times as a kid rollin' on the weekends at a rink in Decatur, Il. (there's nothing like watching your parents gettin their roll on!). I took a break from skating for a long time and started again shortly after moving to California, after a co-worker invited me to Adult night at
Cal Skate. That was in 1999 (I've come a long way ya'll!) and have been skatin' ever since. I was invited to join As The Wheels Turn in the year of 2000, only after I purchased my own skates, and I am so happy I did. We are the strongest, closest, craziest bunch of folks around, of which I am proud to call my Family (despite the fact they call me "Smear-noff!" HATERS!!). I am also a proud member of the Furious 5 Mile High Club as well, and for those that don't know...You'd better ask somebody...BA-BAY!!!
They say LOVE at first sight does not exist, but as a result of this phenomenon, I have been married to "Big Cal" since 1993. (Party in December Ya'll) and we have produced 4 beautiful (not just on the outside) children, better known as The B.A.K.s.  In my spare time (which is really non-existent), I enjoy spending time with my Family, runnin' my mouth, "werkin' the crowd." enriching my mind, body, and spirit, creating art in a variety of mediums, chillin' at the beach, cookin (no, really), imagining what my life would be like if I hit the Lottery, and searching within to know and understand my true self. Peace and Blessings to all that read this and I hope our paths cross soon....
Kelvin Robinson a.k.a. Big Cal
Born and raised in Washington, D.C.  I started skating young, quit it, and came back 20 years later. Now,  I.B. straight rollin', especially when we do 70's nite (Pimp, Pimp)! I am a business owner (B-Tek Mobile Services) with an entrepreneurial spirit that I received from my Grandfather, "Pop's" ,  joined As The Wheels Turn in 2000, and have been a proud Member ever since. I have been married to my wife Erika (Smear-noff, Light-Brite, Pastey, Crack of Dawn) since 1993, (and yes she is Black), I am a proud father of 4 kids and 2 dogs, and I am also a Member of the Furious 5 Mile High Club (SW, watch yo back!). In my free time , I.B. puttin' my thang down on Madden 2003 (do I hear a challenge?), or just chillin' on the couch listening to Jazz...You know Miles, Coltrane, Dizzy, etc. Here's some words to live by: Always set your goals high and never under estimate your own abilities because you are in control of your own fate....Live life to the fullest...you only get 1 chance. To my skate Family...each 1 teach 1 (hint, hint, stop leavin' a brotha hangin in the middle!) I'm out peace & hair grease...with red kool-aid!

Moving to North Carolina. That is the most recent news, well that is pretty major. I have been skating all my life, took a break for some years, then got back into it when the time was right. I was born and raised in San Jose, Cali.,  then moved to Modesto, in 1990. I just recently sold my house and like I said in the beginning, I am moving to North Carolina Ya'll. Getting ready to start an As The Wheels Turn Skate Club, charter in North Carolina. So lets see some of my other interests are, Skating (OF COURSE), baseball/softball, bowling, you know what I like? Anything outdoors, I enjoy watching Nascar, working on cars, anything that really keeps me busy. Anyways, I will catch you in the rink, rollin hard!!! As The Wheels Turn 4-Life!!!
Dave Walter a.k.a. Skate Man & The Teacher
Hey fellow skaters. How's it rolling.
Here's a little about me. I was born in San Francisco Ca. raised in East Palo Alto & Palo Alto. This helped me gain the appreciation I have for all types of music.  When I lived in East Palo Alto my friends all listened to James Brown, The Jackson Five, and all the rest of the Motown sound, while my older brother and sister were in the Beatles, Stones, and the Rock & Roll thing. My dad was a professional Folk Singer, recording for Capital Records.  When it comes to music I Learned to like it all, but for skating you all know what I like. give me Old School, R&B, Soul, Hip Hop, & Rap. If  you're going to skate to it, it has to have a jammin beat!  I started skating back in 1973 in a rink called Skate Arena in sunnyvale Ca. I skated there for 11 years until they closed down in 1984. From there, I skated at different rinks all around the Bay Area. Then, about 1 or 2 years later, around 1986, Cal Skate Milpitas put in their new wood floor, and I call that rink home ever since.  Yes, its true, I have not stop skating at an average of 3-4 nights (some times 7) a week for 30 years!  It was at Cal Skate where I met my wife. Yes I am married, to Carol, my lovely wife. We have two wonderful children, Christopher & Danielle.  Other members of my family can skate, but I am the only SKATER in the family.  Besides skating, I also like to workout with weights and try to keep in good shape. My son And I also do martial arts. I love to teach skating, I teach adult classes at Cal Skate and Aloha.(The other rink in the south bay).  I guess you can say I am a bit of a "fixture" at Cal Skate. People call me "Skate Man" or 'The Teacher"  I just plain love to skate and will never stop. Even though my knees hurt all the time, I just keep rolling!!!  If you see me rollin, don't be shy, come say HI.  Remember, "The only unattainable goals are the ones you don't reach for".
Much Love To All...See You Rollin On the Floor
